Bald for Boobs 2012…where do we even begin!? I guess if we had to sum it up in a few words, it would go something like this: PINK. Heart-warming. Inspiring. Through out the day, as we shopped, waxed, and snapped photos, we were able to mingle with some of our participants and get the scoop behind why they were going “bald” for boobs. Personal stories of breast cancer, and ones that have affected many families close to our clients, were all shared and because of this, we were more motivated than ever to help this cause.We had so many people come out to support our charity event, all of our wonderful guests truly made the difference. With the help and support of our community, we were able to raise over $2,600! We waxed a total of 57 participants and through raffle ticket sales, Facebook Fan Page likes, donations, bracelet sales,and shopping, we were able to make a generous donation to Hoag Breast Care Center in Newport Beach.In addition to all of our support from the clients, we couldn’t have pulled the event off without our amazing sponsors. Bald for Boobs, hosted by OC Waxing, is an event organized to raise money for breast cancer awareness. As many of you know, Breast cancer effects millions of people. Every year, mothers, sisters, daughters, spouses, and friends are diagnosed-and it is our goal to help lives that this disease has effected! At last years event, we raised over $3,000 with the help of our community. This year, we hope to exceed that, and donate all proceeds to the Hoag Breast Care Center in Newport Beach. For starters, sticking to a regular waxing cycle is crucial to getting maximum results of thinner, finer hair. Monthly waxings keep hair more manageable, and even after your first visit, you will notice a major decrease in the amount of hair and it’s texture. Our regular clients go weeks with completely smooth skin! Our clients that see us monthly are able to take advantage of our “DATE DISCOUNT”. What the heck is this? Well it’s pretty simple: your first visit with us for a brazilian is $60. If your following visit is conducted on or before that same calendar date of the next month- your brazilian is $50 (for example: July 8th brazilian wax= next waxing must be any day before August 8th). The next month- same thing. If our clients decide not to make that date cutoff, the brazilian will be $60. Pretty simple way to save, huh?! I know, we love it too. We have found that most ladies book before they leave. It’s on the books, we send you emails and texts to remind you, holy cow that’s totally easy. Monthly waxing is beneficial on both ends. For clients: your waxing is much more comfortable and the appointment is over a lot quicker. Your hair growth is significantly less, and the re-growth of these hairs is so much thinner.
